1942.Born in Greece.
1960.Studied Mathematics in the University for two years,
then, studied Direction of Photography in Paris in the
"National High School of photography and Cinema" E.N.P.C.
(presently known as "Ecole Luis Lumiére").
Since 1965, when his career started in Belgium, he has shot
as both Director of photography and cameraman
simultaneously, more than 40 long feature films and numerous
shorts, TV series and commercial films in Greece and other
countries. All these films were either filmed in 35mm or in
Super 16,a format introduced and developed in Greece by him
since 1972.
He has been Awarded six times the "Best cinematography for
feature films" award and once the prize for "best director".
From 1991 he taught "cinematography and technology" in two
schools of cinema in Athens as professor in regular basis.
Since 1977 he is a member of the board of directors of the
Short film festival in Drama. He is also in charge of the
technical management and one of the two persons selecting
the foreign films for the festival.
