Kimuak ; a short introduction
Kimuak was born in1997 with the purpose
of creating a circuit on which to exhibit
shorts made in the Basque Autonomous
Community and hence permit their screening
in cinemas all over the country.
In addition to internal distribution,
Kimuak endeavors to facilitate the
international screening of a selection of
its best shorts, via their presence at
international festivals and on TV networks
that normally include shorts on their
program planning.
Kimuak also provides each short with
information and advertising backup intended
to expedite its circulation.
KIMUAK was created and Sponsored by the
Basque Department of Culture to promote
short films made in Euskadi language both
within the Basque and around the world
