Announcement
We are very pleased to announce that more than 3500 entries were
submitted to the
23rd National and 11th International sections of Tehran
International Short Film Festival 2006.
The submissions for the International section came from 78
countries; among them 9 countries were newcomers.
We would like to thank warmly all the film makers, institutions,
distributors and film-academies who submitted films to our
festival.
Surely without their support, organizing this festival could not
be possible.
As mentioned in the regulations of the festival, the
International section contains three parts:
1- International competition section
2- Spiritual competition section
3- Asian competition section
Unfortunately this year, we have just received few films for the
Spiritual section and the selection committee could not find any
films suitable for this section.
In order to give these films a chance we decided to include them
in the International competition section.
We are really sorry for not announcing the selected films in
time; we will publish them in our site very soon, and the film
makers will be notified as well.
