He was born in 1943, in Rasht and graduated in Painting from
the Faculty of Decorative Arts. In 1967 Aslani began his
cinematic career with the documentary film Jam-e- Hassanlpp.
He then continued with Badbadeh. With Your permission. So
Tells Story. Tarikhaneh, Fahraj Mash Esmaill. Aboo Reyhan-e-
Birooni The Heritage of Glass. The child and Exploitation,
Chigh and, The Heart of the World.
His directing career also includes, the chess of the wind,
producing TV series, Samak Ayyar, Dust of light,
Manteghatteyr, writing some screen-plays such as, The line,
The watchman, towards the Sillent City, The Fix, The Elegy,
Morning of the 4th Day. The Stone Garden, and, The
Lieutenant, He is the author of three poem books: The Bench
Night and the Days of wind. On Subtraction of Two
west-Sides, Requeem of Forbidden Years. Besides teaching
different cinema universities such as: Cinema and Theatre
College and Soureh. He is also writing papers and critiques
in cinema field. In recent Aslani was a member of the jury
for many reputable film festival and at present he has the
head of the managing board of the Iranian Documentary Film
Association.
