Akbar Nabavi, born 1964 in Shahriar, got diploma in
economics and education, and while teaching in Tehran
high-schools, he entered the university but gave it up after
passing about 110 units in social sciences. He began press
career from 1986, and was a member of Resalat newspaper from
1987 till 1994. He has written more than 500 articles and
analyses in the press, and has published the monthly
“Video-Satellite”, and has been the manager of the film
monthly “Film-Video” from May 1987 to March 1999. He has
been the chief-editor of the daily bulletin of the 13th Fajr
International Film Festival, the director of public affairs
and spokesman of the 14th Fajr International Film Festival,
a jury member of the propaganda affairs of the 15th Fajr
International Film Festival, a jury member of the 12th
Isfahan Children Film Festival, a member of the Farabi
Non-Cinematic Researches and Studies Council (1995),
director of the Cinematic Researches and Studies Council of
the Islamic Culture and Guidance Ministry, cultural deputy
of the House of Cinema, and member of the Experts Committee
of the Secretariat of the Art Council.
He has made more than 2500 minutes TV programs and
documentaries.
